484-CNC: Versatile High Production Door & Jamb Machine

The "484-CNC" is designed for residential and/or commercial door shops that need both a fast and flexible door machine. The 484-CNC machines the door and jamb simultaneously, then predrills and applies the hinge in a precise and efficient process. The 484-CNC is designed with the latest in computer technology and utilizes a touch screen computer display. This creates an extremely versatile door and jamb machine that enables the operator to have full control of hinge locations, sizes, depths, backsets, lock specs and much more with instant changeover between all the variations.

Six Shooter Hinge Applicator: The operator places a 3 1/2" hinge on the magnetic indexing fixture and aligns, and presses a button. The hinge applicator feeds all six screws and applies the hinge in approximately 6 seconds. This option saves the operator a tremendous amount of time and energy. The Six Shooter is custom built to match your particular hinge and screws. The Six Shooter comes with a quick dump hopper for easily changing screw colors or finish.

Eight Shooter Hinge Applicator: The operator places a 4" or 4-1/2" hinge on the magnetic indexing fixture and aligns, and presses a button. The hinge applicator feeds all eight screws and applies the hinge in approximately 6 seconds. This option saves the operator a tremendous amount of time and energy. The Eight Shooter is custom built to match your particular hinge and screws. The Six Shooter comes with a quick dump hopper for easily changing screw colors or finish.

Pistol Grip Screwfeeder: Automatically feeds hinge screws to the tip of the screw gun.  Includes a quick change bowl for easily switching screw color or finish. Each screwfeeder is custom built to match your particular screw size and shape.

Single Pre-Drill Unit: The operator moves the Pre-drill Unit to each hinge location and the pilot holes are drilled simultaneously with the press of a button. This unit can be built for a 3-1/2", 4" or 4-1/2" hinge. Quick change heads are available to quickly switch between hinge sizes.  The Single Pre-Drill Unit is custom built to match your particular hinge and screws. Pre-drilling helps eliminate the door and jamb from splitting while applying the hinge screws.

Point to Point Pre-Drill: Includes one HSD Hi-Frequency motor mounted to each router head. All pilot holes for hinges are automatically drilled in less than 5 seconds following the hinge routing process. The Automatic Pre-Drill System is built in to the cycle of the machine making it fast, efficient, and accurate while saving the operator time and energy. The Automatic Pre-Drill is CNC controlled and can be programmed for any hinge screw hole configuration. Multiple configurations can be saved for instant changeover.

Automatic Square Corner Chisel: Built into the router head, the square corner unit automatically chisels each corner of your hinge pocket and drags down and out leaving a perfect corner every time. This unit is CNC controlled for full customization.

Double Sided Lock Bore: (Now comes as a Standard Feature)  Additional lock bore unit is added so each door is bored automatically from both sides. Boring the door from both sides results in a perfect lock bore and eliminates blowout or splitting. This option also eliminates the need to change backup blocks and allows bits to be used longer.

Thru Bolt Drilling: Two drill units automatically drill small holes above and below the standard bore. This cycle is completely automatic and done during the normal cycle making this a very efficient and accurate way to machine doors for commercial lock sets.

CNC Lock Prep: This option replaces the standard lock prep on the machine with full CNC face and edge routing for locks. Includes 2 HSD Hi Frequency Routers. The CNC Edge prep gives you capabilities for machining deep pockets and longer faceplate mortises. A hi-frequency router is controlled by coordinated motion and will machine any lock up to 4 1/2" deep and up to 10" long. This option is normally used for commercial doors and European locks. The CNC Face prep gives you capabilities to machine special lock holes on the face of the door, and also spiral cuts standard 2-1/8" bores to eliminate blowout completely. This option can also be programmed for cutting a pocket door lock.

Automatic Ball Catch Drills: Includes two complete units for boring the top of doors

for right or left hand ball catches. This is done during the normal cycle of the

machine to maintain the productivity of the door line.

 

Internet Service Package and Built in Wifi: This option allows the machine to be remotely accessed over the internet for troubleshooting and program adjustments.

 

Integrated Dust Collection System: 5 HP dust collection system with auto start.
